Authors: Adel Maalel, Nawres Hammedi, Rachida Douik
Abstract: The Bab El Jebli Gate, part of the ancient medina, has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1988. However, this landmark is currently at risk of being listed as a World Heritage site in danger or even delisted altogether due to various violations it faces and the lack of sustainable protection measures. This paper aims to explore these issues and propose suitable interventions for the urgent preservation of this endangered heritage.
